چکیده

Understanding the constraints on light-use efficiency (LUE) induced by high evaporative water demand (vapour–pressure deficit; VPD) and soil stress (soil moisture content; SMC) is crucial for understanding simulating vegetation productivity, particularly in arid semi-arid regions. However, relative impacts of VPD SMC LUE are unclear, as we lack a mechanistic their interactions. In this study, quantified roles limiting analysed interactions among VPD, using data from CO2 flux stations weather along climatic gradient Heihe River Basin, China. We found threshold constraint LUE; above threshold, decreased at only 3.6% to 23.1% rate below threshold. As decreased, however, increased, reduction caused significantly, which more than half that moister Therefore, both played essential limitation stress. A also existed heat correlation between strength first then increased with increasing VPD. Our results clarified LUE, can improve simulation prediction plant productivity.

Assessing Relation of Soil Hydrophobicity and Soil Water Content and Determining Threshold Moisture of Organic Soil Samples

Soil water content is the most effective factor associated with the hydrophobic and hydrophilic changes in a soil. Water repellency in soils, is not a permanent feature; it can be reached in the dry season and reduced or eliminated in the wet season It can be said that in terms of moisture, there is a critical region that is defined as the threshold moisture content, where in lower moisture, th...

Relationship between light use efficiency and photochemical reflectance index in soybean leaves as affected by soil water content

Photosynthetic light response curves and reflectance spectra (380–2500 nm) were measured for soybean (Glycine max L. Productivity and water use efficiency of sweet sorghum as affected by soil water deficit occurring at different vegetative growth stages

The growth and production of sweet sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] crops under semi-arid conditions in the Mediterranean environment of southern Italy are constrained by water stress. The effects of temporary water stress on growth and productivity of sweet sorghum were studied during three seasons at Rutigliano (Bari, Italy). The aim of this research was to evaluate the sensitivity of ph...
